Post 8 Wins in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Pierre Post 8 American Legion Baseball team won their second straight game on Tuesday as they outscored Aberdeen Smittys 9-8 at Fossom Field. Pierre scored 3 runs in the ninth inning and then held off Aberdeen which answered with 3 runs but left the tying run on base. Micheal Lusk led the Post 8 offensive attack with 4 hits and 4 RBI’s as Pierre outhit Smittys 15-11 in the game. Carson Tschetter and Jake Mayer teamed on the mound with Mayer going 4 innings and striking out 4. 10 Post 8 batters struck out in the game. The win improves Pierre’s record to 3 and 7 on the season.
