A 34-year-old Mission, South Dakota, man convicted of Sexual Abuse of a Minor has been sentenced in federal court.
Matthew Peneaux, a/k/a Matthew Swalley was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Restitution may also be ordered.
The conviction stemmed from events that occurred in 2015 and 2016 when Peneaux repeatedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a girl who was between 12 and 13 years old. Peneaux was aware that the victim was under the age of 16 and therefore unable to consent to any sexual activity with him.
Peneaux was ordered to report to the custody of the US Marshals Service today (June 26, 2018).
