HAYES, S.D. – Miller and Four Corners combined for 41 hits on Sunday as Miller outscored Four Corners 12-8 in a Pony Hills League Baseball matchup at Four Corners west of Hayes. Cody Cotton, Juan Sabilier and Jay Winter each had home runs for Miller and Josh Hoffman had 3 RBI’s to lead the Outlaws. Cotton was the winning pitcher giving up 8 runs and allowing 24 hits while striking out 4 over 8.2 innings. Andrew McCloud went 5-for-6 and drove in a run to lead Four Corners offensivly while Adam Kaus had four hits and Justin Lester and Mike Hand had three hits each. But pitching was a problem for Four Corners in the game as well. J.D. Farley was the losing pitcher as he gave up 17 hits, 12 earned runs and struck out 11 batters. Miller with the win improved to 6 and 6 in league play as they will take on South Central in Gregory on Thursday. Four Corners fell to 6-3 in Pony Hills League games and travels to Plankinton on Thursday.
