MILLER, S.D. – Chamberlain scored three runs in the eighth inning to beat Miller 5-3 in a Pony Hills League amateur baseball game on Sunday. Zach Zimprich went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, including an RBI single in the eighth to lead the Chamberlain offensive attack while Mike Schwartz tossed a complete game in picking up the win on the mound. Schwartz struck out nine batters and allowed three earned runs on nine hits while walking four. Casey Schlechter gave up five runs, three earned and struck out six in a complete-game effort for Miller. Juan Sabilier had two hits, while Dustin Harvey drove in a pair of runs for the Outlaws. With the win Chamberlain improves to 5-7 while Miller falls to 6 and 7 in Pony Hills League play. Chamberlain hosts Plankinton on Thursday while Miller entertains the Bankers on Sunday for their next league games.
