PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Trappers scored two runs in the bottom of the10th to rally for a 10-9 win over the Hub City Hot Shots in Expedition League baseball Monday night in Pierre. Hub City jumped out to a 7-0 lead after 4 innings but Pierre scored the next 8 runs in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings to take the lead. Joseph Brazil pitched two innings of relief for Pierre to pick up the win. The Trappers unloaded on Hot Shot Pitching with 17 hits in the game. Jack Stamper had a triple and drove in 5 runs for the Trappers. Pierre native Spencer Sarringer doubled and Landon Badger had an RBI single. Cal Smith also had 3 EBI’s to increase his team lead to 38 in that category. With the win the trappers improved to 18-20 on the season as they play Hub City tonight with the scene shifting to Aberdeen.
