Pierre Swim Team Members Compete at Bismarck and Huron

PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Swim Team had members swim in meets in Bismarck and Huron over the weekend. Caleb Huizenga, Nick Loe, Morgan Nelson, and Nathan Shoup represented the team at the 2018 Aquastorm Summer Sizzler in Bismack. Huizenga’s top swims were in the 50 and 100 freestyle, winning both events. Morgan Nelson represented PST in the girls division and set a new team record in the 50 meter breaststroke, breaking the old record set by Raeann Schlenker in 2008. In Huron, sixteen athletes competed for a place on the podium in this 3-day high points meet. Aliya Erickson and Ava Lavinger will compete at the 2018 SD State B Long Course Championship in Sioux Falls on July 20 – 22. The SD State A Long Course Championship will be July 27 – 29 in Rapid City.
