SPEARFISH. S.D. – The Pierre Trappers scored a run in the 6th and 2 in the 8th to take the lead and not give it up as they downed the Spearfish Sasquatch 7-4 in an Expedtion League game Wednesday night in Spearfish. The win was the 7th straight for the Trappers who outhit the Sasquatch 10-8 in the game. Pierre native Spencer Sarringer hit his 5th home run of the season for the Trappers. 4 other players had extra base hits and 6 Trappers players including Sarringer had RBI’s. 3 Pierre pitchers combined on an 8 hitter in holding Spearfish to 4 runs. Eric Romo started and went 5 innings to pick up the win. Jimmy Hardin earned the save. The Trappers are now 25-21 on the season as they face Spearfish again tonight in Spearfish.
