CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – Casey Schlechter’s sacrifice fly in the 17th inning drove home Cody Cotten with the game winning run as Miller downed Four Corners 6-5 in an opening round game of the District 3B Amateur Baseball tournament in Chamberlain on Sunday. Matt Randle had 3 hits including a pair of doubles to pace Miller and Cotten pitched 4 innings of relief to get the win. Schlechter started and pitched the first 13 innings. Brad Hand suffered the loss for Four Corners allowing the game winning run on just 1 hit over 2 innings. J.D. Farley and Hand each had 2 hits apiece for Four Corners. Four Corners will play an elimination game in the tournament on Tuesday. Miller will play next on Thursday.
