MITCHELL, S.D. – The Capitol City Crushers captured the U11 Consolation Championship at the State A Baseball Tournament in Mitchell over weekend. A first game upset in pool play kept the Crushers from advancing to the championship round of play on Sunday. The Sioux Falls Tigers beat the Crushers 7-6 on Saturday. In Sunday’s consolation bracket the Crushers won games over Watertown to win the consolation championship. The Crushers went 4-1 for the tournament and ended their season 15-5 for the season.
