MINOT, N.D. – The Pierre Trappers used a 9 run second inning to propel themselves to a rare road win in Expedition League play Thursday night in Minot, N.D. The Trappers routed the Lewis Division leading Souris Valley Sabre Dogs 13-2 before 755 fans at Corbett Field. Tate Ellison hit a 2 run home run and drove in 5 RBI’s to lead the Trappers who out hit the Sabre Dogs 18-6 in the game. Ken Scott and Jack Stamper also had extra base hits for Pierre who got solid pitching from Tyler McDonald who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The win improved the Trappers record to 28-26 on the season. The Trappers return home for a season fianle 5 game home stand tonight when they host the Hasting Sodbusters at Hyde Stadium in a 3 game series. First pitch tonight is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
