ONIDA, S.D. – For the second straight season Onida will have a team in the State VFW baseball tournament. 8 teams from Baltic, Garretson, Canova, Parkston, Kimball/White Lake, Tyndall, Onida and Salem/Montrose. This year the tournament is in Salem, South Dakota. Onida will play the opening game Friday at noon against Tyndall. Followed by Parkston taking on Garretson at 2:30. Kimball White Lake faces Canova at 5:30 and Baltic plays the host team from Salem/Montrose at 8 pm. Onida qualifies this year as the NW Region Runner Up. The Onida team is coaches by Jesse Wittler and Devan Klevan.
