PIERRE, S.D. – Twenty athletes represented Pierre Swim Team at the 2018 South Dakota Long Course State A Championship held July 27-29 in Rapid City. Jagger Gardner placed fourth overall in the boys 8 & under division, swimming five personal best times and seven B times. Breanna Tedrow also brought home the fourth place title, in the girls 9-10 division. She swam five personal best times, with A times in the 100 and 200 freestyle. Ella Ward-Zeller brought home the second place trophy for girls 13-14 with 104 points. Ella also set a new team record in the 50 meter backstroke and 200 meter butterfly. Her 100 backstroke swim was a State Meet record, finishing with 1:08.27. Mason Ward-Zeller finished fifth overall in the boys 11-12 division. Mason had two personal best swims and an A time in the 50 meter butterfly.
