SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Two former State Champion golfers from Riggs High School finsihed in 2 of the top 3 spots in the 50th annual South Dakota South Dakota Golf Association State Stroke Play Championship Sunday in Sioux Falls. Karissa Guthrie, a state champion from three years ago won the tournament title while Katie Bartlett, who won the title two years ago for Pierre was third. Guthrie finished with a 3 round total 224 at plus 8 to take one stroke title win over Julie Jansa of Sioux Falls. Bartlett was 2 strokes back in third. Guthrie came from 4 strokes back on the final day of the tournament ot win her first State Womens title. The 48th Men’s Amatuer Golf title was won by Jace Guthmiller of Yankton ran away from the tournament field with a minus 14 to claim a 9 shot victory over Alejandro Perazzo.
