CHS Midwest Cooperative employees at Philip, SD, are assessing the condition of a 100-thousand bushel grain bin that weakened on Friday.
CHS Midwest Cooperative general manager Milt Hancock tells DRG news and farm the winter wheat was safely removed.
Handcock says they are taking a closer look at the bin today (Mon.).
He says they aren’t certain yet as to why the grain bin started to weaken.
Handcock says initially, there was much misinformation going around about the severity of the situation.
Handcock says safety of employees and the surrounding area remains a top priority.
