FT. PIERRE, S.D. – The Stanley County Buffalo football team will be glad to stay at home thlis Friday after losing their first two games on the road. First year head coach Max Foth says Friday’s 50-7 setback at Winner was an eye opener for his team and lessons were learned from the game.
But those two road losses are in the past. Now it is back to back games at home beginning Friday night when the Buffalos host Wagner to Ole Williamson Field in Ft. Pierre. Coach Foth says the team is excited to show themselves before the home fans.
Coach Foth says that Wagner will be different than Winner or even Mount Vernon Plankinton who beat the Buffalos in the season opener. Coach Foth says Wagner spreads the field out more.
Coach Foth says running the football is basic football 101 that can open things up for his offense.
The Buffalos and Wagner will kickoff Friday night at 7 pm at Ole Williamson Field. Coverage of the game will be heard on KGFX 1060/107.1 beginning at 6:35 pm.
