PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor soccer team was beaten for the first time this season on Tuesday. Yankton recorded a 3-0 win over the Lady Govs is a match at the Pierre Indian Learning Center soccer fields. It was the first time this year that the Lady Govs have beeen shutout and brought an end to their 6 game unbeaten streak to start the season. The Governor boys meanwhile have recorded two matches in a row without a loss. Coming off their first win of the season over Rapid City Central on Saturday, the Governor and Yankton played to a scoreless tie leaving the Governors with a 1-5-1 record on the season. The Governors and Lady Governors will travel to Huron on Saturday to face the Tigers.
