MITCHELL, S.D. — Parkston ran away with team honors in the Region 3A Boys’ Golf Tournament, led Monday at Mitchell’s Lakeview Golf Course. Parkston won the tournament with a 339, 19 strokes better than runner-up Chamberlain. Redfield-Doland also qualified for state as a team, finishing at 390. Chamberlain’s Cameron Caldwell earned medalist honors, shooting a 70 to finish 10 strokes ahead of Parkston’s Quinn Bormann. Chamberlain’s Drayton Priebe was third at 82. The top three teams, and other golfers who finished in the top 22 of the 33-golfer field, will compete in the South Dakota State Class A Boys’ Golf Championships, Oct. 1-2 at Rocky Run Golf Course.
