Pierre Soccer Splits

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governors wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 shutout win at Brookings in high school soccer Tuesday. The Lady Governors dominated the match getting 17 shots and 11 shots on goal. Emily Mikkelsen and Nickylee Schwartz scored the goals for Pierre and goaltender Mack Rath had a pair of saves in the contest. Pierre finishes the season as the number 1 team in the standings and will host games throughout the playoffs. The Governor boys suffered an 8-0 loss to the hands of Brookings who with the win won the 2018 ESD regular season soccer championship. Pierre will look to the playoffs as they will be one of the lower seeds in the upcoming post season tournament and will be on the road.
