Lady Govs Swept by O”Gorman

PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor volleyball team had a two game win streak end on Saturday as the Sioux Falls O”Gorman Knights defeated the Lady Govs in 3 games. O’Gorman, the number 1 rated team in the state in Class AA won by scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-20. Emma Ronseik led the O’Gorman attack with 17 kill followed by Courtney Baruth with 10. Emry Heiss had 8 kills to lead Pierre followed by Kodi Severyn with 5. Heiss also had 2 blocks at the net for Pierre. Hanna Jerome had 14 digs followed by Abbi Kitts with 13 and Kenzi Kuxhaus with10. Reagan Reilly had 21 assists and Bergan Reilly had 16 for the Knights. Pierre, following a 3-1 win over Yankton on Friday night saw their record fall to 7-6 on the season. The Lady Govs will entertain Huron on Tuesday night.
