STATE CHAMPIONS AGAIN!!!!!

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor soccer team repeated as State Champions for a second consecutive year as they downed Rapid City Stevens 2-0 on Saturday in the Class AA State girls title game. The game was played in a steady snow with the ground fully covered. Caytee Williams scored the first goal of the game for Pierre in the 45th minute. In the 51st minute a corner kick was headed in by a Stevens defender for an own goal, which put Pierre up 2-0. The win was the 14th of the season for the Lady Govs against 1 loss and 1 tie.
