Team Shenandoah teachers at Georgia Morse Middle School in Pierre want to instill the tradition of giving back to the community, so they challenged their students to donate the local charity, Missouri Shores.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Missouri Shores’ mission statement is as follows: it is the mission of Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center to protect and serve victims of domestic violence, and sexual assault, to provide shelter and to prevent such violence by enhancing education, treatment and awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Team Shenandoah students donated roughly 260 toilet paper rolls and 140 paper towel rolls, for a rough grand total of 400 toilet paper and paper towels. To say Team Shenandoah teachers are impressed by their students is an understatement!
