A 33-year-old Pierre man has been charged with Obstructing an Officer after running from law enforcement Sunday morning.
According to the Pierre Police Department, an officer was traveling in the 400 block of West Dakota Avenue when he saw a person whom he believed to be Cole BigEagle riding a bike. The officer knew BigEagle had active warrants out for his arrest so the officer made contact, positively identified BigEagle and told him about the warrants. BigEagle fled on foot, but was located hiding in bushes in the 300 block of South Robert Street and taken into custody.
BigEagle was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
