Tomorrow (Sat.) is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Kristen Carter is the Pierre Lynn’s Dakotamart Pharmacy manager and is currently serving as the secretary-treasurer of the South Dakota Pharmacists Association. She says it’s a good time to inventory the medications in your home and properly dispose of those you don’t need.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day happens twice a year, but Carter says people can bring medications to three locations in Pierre year-round.
Carter says these drop off locations can’t accept needle or syringes, but they are able to accept liquid medications.
