Round of 16 Is Now SoDak 16

PIERRE, S.D. – The SDHSAA Board of Directors approved changing the name “Round of 16”, in reference to the round prior to the state tournament in both Volleyball and Basketball for Boys and Girls, to “SoDak 16” on Wednesday during the board of directors meeting in Pierre, SoDak 16 replaces what was initially referred to as “Sweet 16”. The name change was the result of a survey of the Association’s member school student bodies last spring and a vote by the member school student bodies this fall. Each school was given an opportunity to vote.
