PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor Volleyball team started fast on Saturday night winning the first game, but Huron dug in and won the next 3 to defeat the Lady Govs in the final regular season volleyball matchup in Huron. Pierre won game 1 25-20 but came up short in the next 3 games by scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-23. With the loss Pierre ends the season with an 8-12 record and dropped 7 of their last 8 matches. Pierre will be the 11th seed in the SoDak 16 Class AA Volleyball playoff and will travel to Mitchell to face the Kernels on Thursday night. Mitchell defeated Pierre twice during the regular season.
