Parents are invited to the Georgia Morse Middle School in Pierre Monday evening to hear a speaker share information about the South Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, on-line solicitation of children and child pornography.
Supervisory Special Agent Brent Gromer is a computer and mobile forensics examiner and has testified as an expert in Computer Forensics and On-Line Child Sexual Exploitation. He’s has worked with the ICAC Task Force for almost ten years and will talk about current trends in South Dakota including:
- Sexting
- Digital Footprints
- Privacy
- Sextortion
- Sex trafficking
- Cyberbullying
SSA Gromer will also discuss what mobile applications are being used by offenders to victimize children as well as tips for parents on monitoring their children on-line.
The parent meeting will be at the GMMS starting at 7pm, after the Pierre Parade of Lights. SSA Gromer will present information on the same topics to the students Monday afternoon.
