WATERTOWN, S.D. – Following a 2 goal loss to Huron on Saturday, the Oahe Lady Capitals were on the road when they traveled to Watertown to take on the Lakers on Sunday. The Lady Capitals scored 4 goals but Watertown doubled that total up and recorded a 8-4 high schoo league victory leaving Oahe winless in 4 games on the season. Oahe trailed 4-1 early in the second period when they scored 3 unanswered goals to tie the game at 4 after 2 periods of play. Ashton Lee found the net all 3 times in the second period after scoring a goal in the first period to accout for all of the Lady Captials scoring. Watertown scored 4 unanswered goals in the 3rd period to claim the win. Watertown out shot the Lady Capitals 42-6 in the game with Oahe goaltender Abbigail Stewart-Fromm stopping 34 shots in goal. The Lady Capitals are 0-4-0 on the season and will have the weekend off next week.
