BOULDER, Colo. – Colorado placed five in double-figure scoring as the Buffaloes topped the South Dakota men’s basketball team 82-58 Tuesday night at the CU Events Center. South Dakota junior Tyler Peterson tallied a game-high 15 points while Trey Burch-Manning tallied his 1,000th-collegiate point as part of his 12 points. Colorado shot 48.1 percent from the field for the game and held a lead as large as 29 points before the final tally of 82-58. Colorado improves to 6-1 on the season while the Coyotes fall to 4-4.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—Four Coyotes scored in double figures as South Dakota used a third-quarter run to top Missouri State 85-74 inside JQH Arena on Tuesday night. Ciarra Duffy scored 19 of her 23 points in the final two quarters. Allison Arens led the team early with 14 of her 20 points in the first half. This marked the first time two Coyotes have scored more than 20 points in a game since last February. Redshirt-sophomore center Hannah Sjerven was aiming for a triple-double with a career high 17 points and sophomore guard and Onida native Chloe Lamb was the fourth Coyote in double figures with a season-best 13 points. South Dakota (8-1) won its sixth-straight game, while Missouri State (1-5) recorded its first double-digit loss. It also marked the Bears’ third loss at home in the last 20 games inside The Q.
