PIERRE, S.D. – The Oahe Capitals Pee Wee A squad downed Rushmore 6-2 in Rapid City in their lone game of the weekend. Jarron Beck scored a short handed goal to get the Capitals going and they would never look back. Grayson Hunsley and Carter Sanderson added goals in the first period to make it 3-0. Sanderson added a goal in the second period for the Capitals and then scored the hat trick with a goal late in the third period after the Thunder pulled their goalie. Luke Miller scored the final goal for the Capitals sho got 30 saves from Barrett Schweitzer in goal. The Capitals are now 5-5 on the season and have a busy weekend coming up with three games. They will play the Thunder again on Friday night at home and then face the Mitchell Marlins and Sioux Falls Flyers II on the road.
