Gusty winds will whip snow around for the next few days and nights

Gusty northwest winds from 10-20mph are in the forecast for the Pierre/Fort Pierre area today (Tues.).

Weatherology meteorologist Megan Mulford says the wind is making the light snow look like more than it is.

Mulford says a winter storm watch– a fairly new weather term– goes into effect at 9pm tomorrow, lasting until 6am Thursday.
