Lady Capitals Shutout on Sunday

PIERRE, S.D. – For a second straight game the Oahe Lady Capitals did not score as they were beaten 9-0 by the Mitchell Marlins Sunday at the EXPO Center. The Marlins controlled the game from opening face off outshooting the Lady Capitals 37-7 in the contest. The Lady Capitals had 5 power play opportunites but could not put the puck in the net on any of them. With the setback the Lady Capitals are 2 and 11 on the season and have 4 points sitting 8th in the league standings. Mitchell improved to 11 and 2 and has 22 points. The Marlins moved up to the number 3 spot in the standings. The Lady Capitals will host the Sioux Falls Flyers in their next contest on Friday night at the EXPO Center.
