PIERRE, S.D. – The Oahe Capitals Pee Wee A hockey team played their last home game of the season on Sunday against the Mitchell Marlins. The Capitals took the early lead when Jarron Beck found the back of the net unassisted. Carter Sanderson and Keller Herman added first period goals to make it 3-0. One minute into the second period Beck fired the puck in the net. The remaining minutes in the second period were pretty slow for the Capitals with three goals coming from the Marlins. The Capitals stepped it up third period with even strength goals coming from Sanderson, Herman and Beck who recorded a hat trick. The Capitals found themselves serving 14 penalty minutes to Mitchells four and the Cap’s fired off 32 shots while Goalie Barret Schweitzer recorded 21 saves. The Capitals end their League play with a record of 9-7 and are seeded fifth in the state tournament and will take on the SF Flyers II at 1 pm on Friday.

The Oahe Capitals Squirt C1 team traveled to Aberdeen for three day games against Huron, Aberdeen, and Brookings. Some great hockey was played and memories formed
