State Class B Girls Basketball Tournament Begins Thursday

PIERRE, S.D. – The first round pairings for the Class B Girls State High School Basketball Tournament scheduled to begin Thursday in Huron at the Huron Arena have top seeded and unbeaten Ethan taking on number 8 seed Waverly South Shore in the opening game at 12 noon followed at 1:45 pm by 4th seeded Warner taking on number 5 seed Freeman. The night bracket has 2nd seed DeSmet taking on 7th seed White River at 6 pm and number 3 seed Corsica-Stickney will face 6th seed Ipswich in the final game of the first day at 7:45 pm. The semi final round for consolation and championship brackets will be Friday and the championship with all 8 places played out on Saturday at the Huron Arena.
