SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Mike Daum as one of five finalists for the 2019 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award Thursday. Named after Class of 2010 Hall of Famer and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Karl Malone, the annual honor in its fifth year recognizes the top power forwards in Division I men’s college basketball. Daum has led the Jackrabbit offense all season as the only player nationally to average over 25 points and 10 rebounds per game, at 25.6 and 11.7, respectively. The winner of the 2019 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award will be determined by a combination of fan votes and input from the Basketball Hall of Fame’s selection committee.
