The current national gas price average is $2.54 per gallon– seven cents more expensive than last week, 23 cents more than last month but the same price as it was a year ago.
In South Dakota, the current average is $2.46 per gallon. That’s nine cents more than last week, 26 cents more than last month and the same price it was last year at this time.
The nation’s least expensive markets are: South Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama ($2.30), Utah ($2.31), Missouri, Texas and Wyoming ($2.32).
