BROOKINGS, S.D. – Considering it was one of the first times on the track this spring due to the winter weather, the Pierre Govrnor and Lady Governor Track and Field teams had some impressive performances in the Ruth Marske Invitational Track and Field meet held Saturday in the Sanford Jackrabbit Sports Complex in Brookings. Senior Mack Rath had a shot put toss of 37-08 which was excellent for a first competiton of the season. Micah Moser cleared 9-06 in the pole vault while on the track the sprinters and middle distance runners had good first meet times. For the Governors, Franck Becker and Coby Carr had excellent times in the 200 and 400 meter dashes while Paul Adam cleared 6-02 in the high jump and Jack Maher had a shot put toss of 50-07.25. The Governors and Lady Governors will return to Brookings on Thursday for the ESD Indoor meet.
