According to AAA South Dakota, the national gas price average has increased 44 cents since New Year’s Day. Today’s average is $2.69 per gallon, which is 7 cents more expensive than last week, 27 cents more than last month and four cents more expensive than last year at this time.
South Dakota’s current average gas price is $2.60– 5 cents more than a week ago, 28 cents more than a month ago and 2 cents more than a year ago.
The nation’s most expensive markets are: California ($3.61), Hawaii ($3.45), Washington ($3.16).
