Gov and Lady Gov Track and Field Have Another Strong Day

PIERRE, S.D. – The three team Governor Qualifying meet was held Tuesday in Pierre with Pierre, Huron and Sully Buttes competing. The Lady Govs scored 336 points while the Governor boys scored 373.. For the Lady Govs, Addy Smith won three individual events on the track and Paul Adam won the 200 meter dash as well as Long Jump and High Jump once again for the Governors as well as the triple jump. The Governors and Lady Governors return to action on Friday when they compete in the Rapid City Track O Rama, the first major meet of the season for the two squads.
