Mikkelsen Nominated for Miss Basketball

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 12 finalists for the Mr. and Miss Basketball awards were released. The winners will be announced at the Hansen Anderson Basketball luncheon on Sunday at the Ramkota Inn in Sioux Falls. Tea Area’S Noah Freidel and Justin Hohn along with Brandon Valley’s Evan Talcott and Carter Olthoff both had two finalists. Other finalist for the Mr. Basketball award include Sawyer Schultz of Bridgewater-Emery, Mitchell Goodbary, Sioux Falls Christian, Nick Hoyt, Harrisburg, Karst Hunter, Miller, Jared Jaros, Sioux Falls Lincoln, Kyler Meyer, Britton-Hecla, Jacob Prouty, Clark-Willow Lake and Alejandro Rama of Red Cloud. The Miss Basketball finalist include Brandon Valley with a pair nominated in Danica Kocer and Trinity Law: Awoti Akoi, Sioux Falls O’Gorman, Raven Cournoyer Todd County, Kamryn Heinz Ipswich, Michaela Jewett Brookings, Emily Mikkelsen Pierre, Laurie Rogers of Warner, Jeniah Ugofsky Harrisburg, Karly Gustafson, Ethan, Mattilyn Reiner, Tripp-Delmont-Armour and Lauren Sies of Avon. The winners will be announced at the Hansen Anderson Basketball luncheon on Sunday at the Ramkota Inn in Sioux Falls.
