HURON, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor golf team fired a season high 364 but still finished in tie for third place with Rapid City Stevens on Thursday at the Huron Invitational golfed on the Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron. Sioux Falls O’Gorman won the team title with a 313. Aberdeen Central was second in the 10 team event with a 338. Carly Kunkel of O’Gorman won individual medalist honors firing a 74 on the day and recording a two stroke victory over teammate Shannon McCormick. Hallie Gronlund fired a 89 to finish in a tie for 17th place for the best Lady Gov finish on the day. Annabelle Simpson had a 90 to tie for 18th while Anna Otto fired a 91 and Kaitlynn Swenson had a 94. Jessa McTighe with a 95 and Ellie Jo Simpson with a 96 rounded out the Lady Gov scoring on the day. There were a total of 59 golfers who started the day at Huron.
