The Pierre Trappers and the Boys & Girls Club of the Capital Area are hosting their 1st Annual Kickball Tournament tomorrow (May 11).
Opening ceremony is at 8:45am at the Oahe Softball Complex (1050 Izaak Walton Rd).The first games start at 9am with the championship game concluding at 3:30pm.
This is a 20 team limit tournament. The fee is $100 per team. Each team may consist of 9-12 players, at least four girls and four guys on each team. Games are 55 minutes long or 7 inning whichever comes first.
The winning team will receive a $300 cash prize, a t-shirt, opening day general admission tickets with drink and food vouchers from the Trappers and sponsorship gifts. The second place team will receive a t-shirt and sponsorship gifts. The third place team will receive t-shirts.
All funds will be used for the 500 Plus Club youth to improve outcome based programming. This will include supplies, materials and staff trainings on how to best implement the programs. There will be a $5 entrance fee for non-team participants that will also go towards the youth at the Boys & Girls Club. Concessions will be available.
Registration forms are available at the Dakota Radio Group office in Pierre, the Trappers office or the Boys & Girls Club.
