Pierre Girls Golf 5th at Mitchell

MITCHELL, SD. – The Pierre Lady Governor golf team fired a 360 to finish 5th in the Mitchell Invitational girls golf tournament Friday at the Lakeview golf course. Hallie Gronlund had the best score for the Lady Govs with a round of 86 putting her in a tie for 10th. The other top 15 place finisher for Pierre was Annabelle Simpson who had an 87 and finished tied for 14th. Other Lady Gov scores on the day included a 93 from Anna Otto. Ellie Jo Simpson fired a 97 and Jessa McTighe had an 98. Jenna Sutcliffe of Sioux Falls O”Gorman was the individual champion of the tournament with a 80 and two stroke victory over teammate Carly Kunkel. O’Gorman won the team title with a 330 and 13 shot win over runner up Sioux Falls Roosevelt.
