PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Governor and Lady Governor track and field teams wrapped up the regular portion of the season at the Mark Wendelgass meet hosted by Huron on Thursday. The meet was atune up for the State Track and Field meet that will be held next weekend. No team points were reported. Tucker Berens seems ready for the State meet for the Governors as he won the 800 meter run in a time of 2:01.29 and Hayden Schaffer crossed the finish lin first in the 3200 meter run with a winning time of 10:37.23 for the only two filrst place finishes for the Governors. Paul Adam was second in the High Jump and Coby Carr took second in the Triple Jump. Jack Maher had a second place finish in the Shot Put. For the Lady Governors, Mack Rath won both the Shot Put and Discus. Rath won the Discis with a throw of 120-08 and the Shot Put with a toss of 40-05.25. Jessica Lutmer was a second place finisher in the 1600 meter run and the Lady Govs had several third place finishes to record 96 points and finish 4th in the 6 team meet.
