WATERTOWN, S.D. – The Pierre Governor Spring High School Club Baseball team’s season ended in Watertown on Monday night as they dropped a 1-0 decision to Sioux Falls Roosevelt in 9 innings in the championship of the Region 3 seed tournament. Pierre defeated Roosevelt twice on the regular season but on Monday despite getting 6 hits, left runners on base. Roosevelt scored the games only run in the top of the 9th. Roosevelt had 8 hits in teh game. Matt Lusk had 2 of Pierre’s 6 hits as the Governors season ends with a 14-6 record. It is only the second time since Pierre began playing in the Spring High School Baseball League in the South Dakota that they have not qualified for the State Class A Final Four. Roosevelt will play Sioux Falls O’Gorman and Brandon Valley will take on Mitchell in the semi finals Saturday in Sioux Falls.
