MINOT, N.D. – The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs scored 3 runs in the fifth and added one more in the 8th inning to record a 5-3 win over the Pierre Trappers in Expedition League Baseball Monday night in Minot, N.D. The Trappers took an early 3-1 lead with a run in the second and two in the third but were shutdown the rest of the night. Matt Houlihan went 5 innings allowing 3 runs to pick up the win with releif help from two relievers who combined to hold Pierre hitless the rest of the way. The Trappers had just 3 hits in the game, all singles. Jerson Morales started but ran into trouble in the 5th inning and took the loss. Alex Sheetz allowed 1 run in relief. The loss drops the Trappers record to 2 and 7 on the season as they wrap up their 8 game road trip with the final game of the series tonight in Minot.
