ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Pierre Trappers used a 7 run 7th inning to win their 7th straight as they downed the Hub City Hot Shots in Expedition League Baseball Monday night in Aberdeen. The Trappers used a 10 hit attack led by Zane Phelps who hit his 6th home run of the season, one of three hits, and drove in 5 runs in the victory. Phelps has a team leading 29 RBI’s this season. Matt Modeste and Billy Moreland doubled for Pierre. Kyle Nordbye went 6 innings and left the game with a 2-1 lead to pick up the win. He allowed 1 runs on 3 hits. Nathan Morris pitched the final 3 innings allowing 4 hits. The Trappers are 2-0 in the second half of the Expedtion League season and 18-16 overall. Hub City fell to 13-18 on the season. The two teams wrap up their brief 2 game series tonight in Aberdeen with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 pm.
