Pierre JO Fastpitch Division 3 and 4 Tournament Underway at Oahe Softball Complex

PIERRE, S.D. – The first night of the Pierre JO Fastpitch Softball Division 3 and 4 tournaments was played Monday night in Pierre at the Oahe Softball Complex. In first round action of the tournament, Flottmeyer-Hanson downed Liedholt-Masteller 15-5 while Schnee Rounds downed Tedrow Hull 15-3 and Hoffman-Kafka defeated Tostenson-Peschong 10-7. In the second round of the tournament, Flottmeyer-Hanson shutout Templeton-Hall 9-0. Schnee Rounds edged Hoffman-Kafka 11-10 and Tedrow-Hull defeated Tostenson-Peschong 9-8. Third round action in the tournament saw in the quarterfinal round Flottmeyer-Hansen edge out Schnee Rounds 6-5 to stay undefeated in the tournament. In the losers bracket third round games, Templeton-Hall downed Tedrow-Hull 8-1 and Hoffman-Kafka downed Liedholt-Masteller 10-8. Games next Monday in the double elimination bracket will have Templeton-Hall facing Hoffman-Kafka in an elimination game. The winner of that game will play Schnee Rounds in another elimination game. The winner of that game will play Flottmeyer-Hansen for the championship with either 1 or 2 games to be played.
