Bartlett Drops State Match Play Title Match

BRANDON, S.D. – Former Pierre Lady Governor state champion and current USD golfer Katie Bartlett got to the championship match of the 44th annual South Dakota Womens Match Play Golf Championship on Sunday at the Brandon Country Club Course in Brandon. Bartletee won the semi final match she golf against Sydney Weber 2 and 1 on Saturday but came up short in the championship match on Sunday. Bartlett was defeated by Maggie Murphy 2 and 1 in the title match. In the 96th annual Men’s State Match Play Tournament, Jeff Meyerink won the title defeating Chris Long 3 and 2 in the championship match. Earllier in the day, Long defeated Jacob Otts 2 and 1 and Meyerink defeated Kolby Newborf 1 up in the semi finals.
