PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Trappers scored 3 runs in each of the first four innings and cruised to a 14-2 win over the Badlands Big Sticks Sunday in Expedition League Baseball at Hyde Stadium. Pierre had 10 hits in the game with Billy Moreland’s double the only extra base hit in the contest. Gabe Knowles and Nathan Sanders each hit solo home runs for the Big Sticks. A.J. Fell started and went 5 innings allowing 0 runs on 4 hits to pick up the win. Alex Sheetz pitched the final four innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The Trappers go into the Expedition League All Star Break with a 24-22 record. The All Star game is tomorrow night in Minot, N.D. with 5 players representing the Trappers on the Lewis Division All Star squad. The Trappers next game will be Wednesday night when they host the Hub City Hot Shots.
