PLANKINTON, S.D. – Second-seeded Four Corners scored six runs in the fifth inning and pulled away from No. 7 seed Miller/Wessington 11-1 in the opending round of the District 3B playoffs Saturday in Plankinton. Justin Allen led the way offensivly for Four Corners going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Kris Dozark added a pair of hits and a pair of RBIs and Justin Lester drove in two runs. Jeremy Hand got the win after allowing one run on six hits in seven innings and struck out eight. Brant Winter drove in the lone run for the Outlaws. With the loss, Miller-Wessington was sent to an elimination game on Sunday in Chamberlalin and saw their season end as they were beaten 5-4 by South Central. Ryan Engel drove in two runs and Rafael Clemente was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Miller/Wessington.
